Pac-12 (official thread)

UCLA to kick off 'more normal' Pac-12 football schedule

The Pac-12 released its full nine-game 2021 conference schedule Tuesday, becoming the final Power 5 conference to announce its plans for what is expected to be a return to normalcy after a season severely impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

UCLA will be the first Pac-12 team in action when it hosts Hawai'i on Aug. 28, leading into an intriguing nonconference slate that includes Oregon State at Purdue (Sept. 4), Stanford vs. Kansas State (Sept. 4), UCLA vs LSU (Sept. 4), Oregon at Ohio State (Sept. 11), Colorado vs. Texas A&M (Sept. 11), Washington at Michigan (Sept. 11) and Cal at TCU (Sept. 11), among others.

Pac-12 commissioner hot board: Odds on candidates, preferred models and unusual scenarios
Now in its fourth month, the Pac-12 commissioner search is winding down. Or maybe not.

Oliver Luck: 3/1

Randy Freer: 7/2

Mystery candidate X: 5/1

Candidate X would be a heavy hitter from the world of college sports: Either an athletic director from a powerhouse school or a high-ranking conference executive.

Mystery candidate Y: 8/1

Candidate Y would be someone from the professional sports, sports business or sports media worlds.

Mystery candidate Z: 50/1

This would be someone from outside college sports, outside professional sports and outside sports media.

Package deal: 20/1

In this scenario, the presidents name a commissioner from the sports business world and a second executive from the college sports space to serve as the primary contact to the campuses, particularly on football.
