Outback Bowl: Wisconsin 17, Tennessee 21 (final)

Only one bowl game being shown by ESPN in South Africa today. They are showing poker the entire day until midnight when they show the Rose Bowl. So, I am following on FoxSports.

So, this drive looks very good for Wisky?

I was impressed with the drive. Especially with the beating that Donovan has taken today, he did a good job of spreading the ball around to different receivers (even TEs and FB) and keeping the offense on-schedule.

I missed some of the hits that Donovan had taken. They just showed a montage of them a moment ago, and a few of those would have drawn a hefty fine in the pros. It's a shame that that kind of crap goes pretty much unchecked at the college level if the ref fails to throw a flag on it.

My respect for Tyler Donovan has increased dramatically, and I already liked him in the first place. He gets mad props for taking at least 6 or 7 nasty hits and getting up and scoring before the half. Very impressive.

yeah but do you hear Big Ten fans screeching about their conference like SEC fans (and to a lesser extent) Pac 10 fans do??

No you don't.

Maybe not screeching, but at some point you can take only so much abuse from the SEC blowhards before it's time to go on the defensive. The SEC felt they got robbed a couple years ago when they didn't make it to the Championship game, ever since then they've yelled about how superior they are and it worked last year with Florida, so they're keeping it up.

Now everyone has to defend the strength of their conference.

Why get defensive about something so meaningless????

If the SEC feels it got robbed, it only has to blame itself. Remember some idiot from the SEC came up with the BCS in the first place.

Now everyone has to defend the strength of their conference.

Not really. If a team in a certain conference takes care of their own business, they'll do just fine with or without the stupid and senseless conference whining....

21-14 at the half, not bad considering Wisc is B10 #4 vs SEC #2...pretty even match up and I like it:biggrin: A strong second half w/o T.O. and wisc. wins this game.

better than B10 #9 vs ACC #2

however B10 #3 vs SEC #4 is definitely an unfair match-up...for the SEC:biggrin:

sorry didn't mean to get off topic...

I wouldn't if it was meaningless, but the Big 10 bashing keeps up and it shows in the polls, then you end up with 3 undefeated teams and guess who will get left out (unless of course Pac10/Big10 grow up and agree to a plus 1).

Ask Hawaii about taking care of business and the NC game...just sayin'...

The talk is meaningless, when you win your game. so stop worrying about the talkers worry about winning. It will take care of itself.

I disagree, 2/3rds of the BCS is polls, polls influenced by talk as much as winning. If you have more than 2 undefeated teams, someones getting left out. It doesn't always work itself out, if it did, nobody would complain about the BCS.

Hawaii won all their games, they took care of business, look where they ended in the polls.
