Outback Bowl: TSUN +5.5 vs S Carolina (ov/un 47.5) Tue 1 ESPN

Because they have a very weak pass rush and lack the athletes to cover for any extended amount of time.

This has been their MO since Mattison arrived.

Bad coaching if you ask me. They weren't getting beat on the outside (their corners were covering just fine), they were getting beat down the middle. No one asks their safeties to cover, just stay deep and protect. It's not like USC had a running game that forced you to bring your safeties closer to the line of scrimmage.

At Tampa Int. airport, waiting for a flight to take me back home to TSUN. I am surrounded by sad, sad fans in hideous sun and blue garb. How do you avoid schadenfreude induced stroke? I think it may be too late already... Oh well, at least I'll die happy

Why does it not surprise me that a 3 year old has a better grasp on the rules of football than the refs?

Apparently, it's not exclusive to college football. Ralphie got jobbed last night too.

Then, there was this one:

Of course, this is the one that kicked it off this year:

Vincent Smith discusses crushing hit

Michigan's Vincent Smith saw there was nowhere he could go. Nothing he could do. A combination of a line miscommunication and a decision by his fullback left him vulnerable.
And South Carolina star Jadeveon Clowney was coming.
"I couldn't duck or try anything," Smith said. "My head wasn't even down and that's why my helmet popped off."
The hit, where Smith's helmet flew a few yards up the field leaving his dreadlocks flying as he fell to the ground, went viral.
Smith has shrugged it off, saying he watched it "two or three times" when he got back home after the Outback Bowl and then moved on. Now, a couple of weeks after the hit, he said he didn't even really feel it, evidenced by his reaching for the ball as he was falling to the ground and popping up right after.
It looked, he said, worse than it was.
"Oh yeah, it did," Smith said. "I saw it and was like, 'Dang.'"
South Carolina defender J.T. Surratt said it sounded like a "car wreck." Michigan receiver Roy Roundtree said he knew something big had happened because of the reaction of the crowd, which he noticed had stood up.

The Arizona basketball call was originally correct, then they fucked it up when they reviewed it.

The baseball call wasn't reviewed at all because the game is slow enough, already.

The "worst call in the history of the NFL" (as some called it) was allowed to stand after instant replay.
