I must be honest. I have always rooted for Ohio University but then I just don't consider them competition, in anything. I don't say that to disrespect them in any way. But there is no comparison to Ohio State. Not in sports. Certainly not in academics. It's like the little brother of the Heisman winner. He can be good, maybe really good. He might even beat his brother in a game of one-on-one when his brother is having a very bad day. But he will never be the Heisman winner. Sorry Ohio fans, but the chances of Solich leading Ohio University to the BCS is about as good as my wife getting me pregnant.

That's so true. I root for the MAC against everyone but us, and particularly OU--after all, both of my little sisters went there. :tongue2:

my wife has several cousins who have gone or are going to Ohio U. They never had this type of envy or whatever you want to call it.

MAC and CUSA games are fun to watch.

The overwhelming majority of fans of the-other-DivIA-Ohio-schools are also OSU fans. Most of them wouldn't be able to find their schools message board with both hands and a flashlight.

For all non-OSU Ohio schools there is a varying percentage of guys on the message boards that fall into the "pathological envy" category. They stand out on the boards like a clown nose on a professor. In real-life, you may never meet one of them.
