OU Bashing OSU

That was just sad. First of all, the official name of the school is Ohio University so how it can be an insult to call it that or shorten it to "Ohio U." is beyond me. Secondly, the institution is a university, "Ohio" is a state and its name belongs to all Ohioans not a small group who attended a particular UNIVERSITY. To dog Ohio State for doing cheers that reflect state as well as school pride or having shirts that reflect pride in being Ohioans is simply absurd. Hell, next they'll say we can't call ourselves Buckeyes because that term can generally be used to refer to all Ohioans and we're misappropriating it.

Oh and who cares about OU?! I dated a girl who went to OU when I was in college. I would go down there on a Saturday (when OSU was away) and people would not be at the OU game, they would be at a bar watching the buckeyes.

What a bunch of morans! They deride us as "Ohio A&M", since they believe OU has always been called OU, but a quick glance at wikipedia shows they were originally called American Western University! And let's not forget they are 50 spots below us in the US News & World Report rankings...

I am a member of that board and have long given up on the haters there. It is just no use anymore as they are just bull headed morons.

And yes Ohio has a message board and it was primarily for basketball until we Got Frank. The fun part is all the Nebraska fans that have become Bobcat fans... scary.
