I actully don't mind if you call us Okies. Heck I call myself Okie sometimes, I guess it just depends on who you are talking to. Suggestions for calling us:

oOSU
Pokes
Okla St.
OK ST.

Yeah we do have a really good basketball team. You could be hearing alot of cheering while you are down in San Antonio on the 28th because we have big game against Gonzaga. Anyway its been fun here on the board.

I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in on the subject as well. In the short period of time I've seen posters from OK St, I've been pleasantly surprised and impressed by the way they conduct themselves on BP. You folks are courteous and knowledgeable. I hope you will continue to visit the planet even after the game no matter what the result. I've registered to visit your board and look forward to chatting with you from time to time over there. Again, welcome to BP.

As far as the "what to call them" thing, our sports website is www.okstate.com, so just call us OKSTATE like folks call Kansas State "KSTATE." Probably the best way to differ. Or OK State. Whatever. Okie, no thanks! :)

"I like these fans a lot. One thing I've noticed over the years is that Okie State doesn't have a lot of bandwagon, frontrunner, assclown fans who aren't affiliated with the University."

It's because most (and I mean, like 8 of 10), have some sort of viable first-hand connection to the school. They either went there or have a kid there or work for the school on some level. And that's great, because it means our fans have a vested interest in the school, and not just because of athletics. I think many of my OKState friends would agree with me on that.

But, we DO need bandwagon fans, because we want our football program better and better. Y'all are lucky your chief rival is out-of-state instead. Having to deal with Oklahoma and all their redneck fans really are tough to deal with. (BTW, they're like the anti-Pokes... MOST of their fans never went to school there but cheer for them and say "its good for the state" as an excuse.) So that gets old.

Anyway... thanks again for the kind words!

On behalf of the smattering of Buckeyes living in the Cesspool up North (aka Meatchicken)... we feel your pain.

We're not that lucky. Unfortunately, we have way too many scUM fans in this state. Some of them are just poser assholes who do it to piss off Ohio State fans. Some are people just move here from up north to escape the smell, only to forget to burn their clothes on the way here.

Thank you all for all the kind words. I came over from o-state.com and haven't seen a single "bad" word abour our State or our School on this site. You guys are just as classy as any fans I've seen.

I'm looking forward to a great game with you guys and partying with you all on the Riverwalk. Should be a great time, and a great game Win or Lose. Of course I'm hoping we win, but, only time will tell.

Come on over to o-state.com like everybody else has said. You'll find the same kind of posters there as you will here. Usually very respectful, and for the most part will greet you with open arms and a cold beer. Nothing wrong with that, right?

I'd also like to second the motion from what J-Wil or WangHo said previously about coming by the Clarion Riverwalk the night before the game to watch a little oSu Basketball and few cold brews.

Take care everybody.

Pistols Firing!!!! Go Pokes!!!!

Hey guys FYI don't call them "Okie" it's an insult. I know it's hard to use our schools initials together but I use OK St. instead of Okie St.
It's kind of like the "N-word" among rappers.....it's okay if one of your own uses it, but not anyone outside of the gang.

It's not that big a deal though.
