OT Zen Michalski (transfer to ???)

Have to wonder if this means someone else is coming in
That’s what am thinking(hoping really).

Coaches were honest with him and let him know there is a big upgrade wave coming via portal and he did what they wanted him to do.

Either that or he just blew out and we’re down one more live body and our first case of the rats abandoning a sinking ship.

I’m hoping for the former but things are serious enough to where I can’t just dismiss the latter.

Time will tell.

Fucks sake. It's not as if we already needed 3 or 4 from the portal anyway.

I wonder did the coaches show him some writing on the wall because you would think he had the inside track, with development, to start next year. Brutal
There was no way that if the OTs came in healthy next year that Michalski would’ve been anything more a depth piece at best. He is not to the level of an OSU caliber player. Not a knock, just honesty. He is the last of the Stud plan b OL. Toutant, Leroux and Michalski had no business ever playing for OSU. Again, not an insult, but just based off of evaluation. Stud was lazy and these kids would walk over hot lava to be Buckeyes, but they weren’t good enough. Michalski could be solid on a team like Cincinnati, IU, Duke, etc. wish him the best

Echo the above, never want to wish ill on anyone, especially one who was a Buckeye. Even with all the signing hoopla, where everyone touts the newest recruits, appears that many (OL in this case) simply aren't making the grade here. We can blame all on Stud, now Frye, for 'settling' on OL candidates, who take more time to develop than QBs. Something is truly wrong if tOSU is looking towards Central Connecticut State (?) for a starting tackle, rather than one of the 4*'s already on the roster. With Coach Mick, the Woody facilities/weight room etc, the experience against our DL, coaching, assistant coaching, technique walk-throughs, and I don't know what else, these kids should be ready, chomping at the bit, and ready to rock and roll. But it appears not happening. None of these kids are dumb, blobs of fat (heck, in the old days, OL had bellies that hung over their belt), so what secret sauce is missing. I'd transfer as well, if I was tried and found wanting, relegated to the bench, and overlooked after that. For all that, Go Bucks!
