BD Giants upset #2 Lawrence Central in their first regional game yesterday, then won the night cap to head to Semi-State. Have both games on the DVR and will try to watch this week. All accounts show Jones was a huge factor.

If anyone still doubts Ben Davis’ ability, consider Jones’ performance on Saturday evening a cease and desist. Jones scored 24 points for Ben Davis and took over the game at times when the Giants needed it most.

Had 23 points, including 13 in the 4th quarter, to take down #2 in the first game.

For me the trajectory for this dude has been a steady incline from project player to potential stud.

As time passes, I’m getting more excited about his potential. Given the difficulty projecting OL guys and the things we do know about him like his meausrables and his athleticism, he literally could be an All American some day. You just never know.

The good thing is that everyone knows he’s a development guy and there shouldn’t be any pressure to preform within his first few years. I’m just hoping he has that fire to be great.
