You lucky SOB. Being stationed here in Tucson, I was planning on taking the wife to LA and maybe doing some tailgating and watching at the bar, but I found out I will be headed to Balad, Iraq on Sep 17th for 6months.

God, I can't wait till next season, Im flying home to Columbus no question about it!

Have fun guys, I expected some great stories posted here when I get back!

Your best bet to tailgate is on campus. The area around the stadium will be taken up early in the morning. The campus has plenty of room and best of all, you can booze it up. You will want to cruise around the stadium though because that where will most of the action will be. There are beer tents to the East of the Coliseum with TV's. On the West end it is tailgate city. There is also places to the Northwest as well. Tailgaiting spots immediately around the stadium fill up quickly so if you get there late, you will need to hit up the south side of campus. Let me know if you have any more questions.

When you mean "booze it up" would anyone become appalled or get arrested for bringing a keg with them to a tailgate? Some big ten schools will not allow kegs at tailgates.

Does this mean that no drinking is allowed by the Stadium other than in the designated areas?

Should I aim for a spot on the west side of the stadium, and if that fails go for campus. Are there any costs associated with the spots on the west side of the stadium? Given that it is a night game what time would you recommend I show up to claim a spot?

I moved to Santa Monica a couple months ago from Clevelnad. There is a bar called "The Shack" on 23rd st. and Wilshire that is a Buckeyes backer bar. I'll be there this saturday and tell you if its worth going, but I hear they play beer bong and alll that good stuff. For the USC game I'm gonna tail gate and hopefully not get my ass kicked cause i'll be pretty rowdy and very very drunk.
