OSU-The Cradle of Sports Announcers

I think that Mark Katz should make a sizeable donation to BP. It is patently clear that he cruises the BP website to find potential articles that he can write (and earn money for). His article is purtineer 'dead nuts' from what was started, and then embellished by this thread.

He actually did a good job of paraphrasing what the thread contributors have given to further our knowledge of Buckeye Sports Announcers. Kudos to you, Mr. Katz. Now, please send your donation to Clarity c/o Buckeye Planet. Checks or credit cards are greatfully accepted. PS, Mr. Katz, let us know what you would next like to have us discuss so we can do your homework for you!

Do we want to count Lou Holtz on this list or was that not a long enough stint here to count? I can understand if we just flat out don't want to claim him :p

Why? He's not an alum. He's not a former player. He did one year on Woody's staff--and was rumored to be pushed out for "questionable recruiting" activities, which was also rumored to be the reason that he wasn't, despite being the overwhelmingly popular fan favorite, given even a courtesy interview to replace Woody.

Lou has no more connection to Ohio State than any other non-alum who was on the coaching staff long enough to get a cup of coffee. Fuck him.
