I was thinking the same thing after reading those quotes over on the O-Zone. I hope his calmness does not have a detrimental influence on the players.

I do think Carpenter is the most emotional of the front 7. I also liked the frustration I saw in Pittman when he was not getting the good runs.

Good points on special teams. If anyone would've told me that their kicker (who missed 5 of 6 FGs in one game) would've out-kicked Nugent, I would've called the vice squad on them...

This concerns me. Does this have anything to do with Coach Snyder being on the sidleines. Reading signlas? Maybe even more concerning is the fact that our defense is that predictable, maybe we are being too prdictable when we are agressive... Some food for thought.

Amen, Amen, Amen................ We have to get out of the mindset that settling for a field goal is ok.. It is not. When you are within the 10yard line and only get 3 points the offense should take that as a loss.

All in all I think this is going to have the coaches looking at themselves more then anything. I do not expect drastic changes, but I bet we see a better prepared team from here on out. I really do. Lets hope so anyway.

Your last comment hits the situation on the head...every trend in football is eventually caught. Look at the Rams, the Buddy Ryan 4-6, etc etc

tOSU is not difficult to target tendancies on either side of the ball...I'm in agreement that this loss will hopefully change that on at least one side of the line

While I understand how the youth of this team was a factor in this loss, I couldn't help but think as I watched their reactions that they looked old. The kids from Northwestern, jumping around like popcorn on the sidelines, looked young. Our guys seemed a little too calm, a little too accepting, almost tired. Been here, done that, won anyway. Can't really blame them - I was laughing at the people who were wondering why I was so calm on Saturday. "You don't get it - this is how an Ohio State game is supposed to go! Just wait for overtime." Who rewrote our script?

Our guys are always motivated, no doubt - but boy, oh boy, I can't wait to see them run out of the tunnel next week! It will be an interesting weekend here in Badgerland.

And don't worry Mike... I'm still getting my Nuge jersey...:cool:

Hhahahah... You are right this is THE Ohio State University... Our RB's should be kicking the shit out of of opposing teams D that a Kicker would only be seen during extra points.....

We have to and I mean have to get this running game back on track.... I really want to see what Pittman can do when he gets a full quarter or 2 under his belt.

There are some retarted stats being thorwn around... same ypc.. You know I really beleive that once Pittman gets in a rythm he will be tough to spot. He seems to be a player that O-Line like to block for. Like MO-C... they feed off his energy. If you look at his carried he will get 4 yards on first then we throw the ball 2nd 3rd... Or pass on 1st get 6 yards.. everyone and their mom knows we will run and he will still get 2 yards. Lydell seems to get his 2 3 carries a set.. I want the same for Pittman.

I wonder if the coaches are afraid to keep him in there because teams will know we are running because of no faith in him in picking up blitzes.... Just another example where youth kills...

Two things need to happen from this loss at a minimum

#1:I agree Snyder needs to be sent to the press box with no supper

#2: No Ohio State team should ever put the ball in the air 1st and goal from the 4.

The only more bonehead coaching call that I can remember is Greg Frey on the option against scUM I think?

yeah, that was the worst of them all. We have a crappy QB, and then we force him to make a play that would be hard for a NFL QB to make. Fucking retarded.

Man I am post whore tonight sorry.. But WTF was that, Zwick rolling left??? Short side of the field... You knew there would be pressure. A right handed QB has to stop and adjust when throwing that way... Ughh is right. What the Funky Shit was that.....
