atozsports.comOhio State Buckeyes are showing interest in a transfer portal player that fits just what they badly need
Ohio State still needs to add some size in the front court and they are showing interest in another transfer center.
The Buckeyes have been in contact with Grand Canyon C Duke Brennan in the transfer portal
According to Rivals, the Buckeyes are one team that has reached out to Grand Canyon transfer C Duke Brennan. The 6-foot-10 center has also heard from schools like West Virginia, USC, Rutgers, Clemson, and Iowa amongst others.
Brennan is heading into his senior season and averaged 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in 30 starts for Grand Canyon. As a sophomore, Brennan started 35 games for Grand Canyon and put up 7.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Brennan started his career at Arizona State and he appeared in 36 games with the Sun Devils, but played in just nine minutes per game.
Ohio State has three surefire starters at the moment with Bruce Thornton, John Mobley Jr., and Devin Royal returning. Tilly could be another starter for the Buckeyes, with just one starting spot remaining.
Bringing in two seven-footers from the transfer portal in total would give the Buckeyes the needed size. Bradshaw’s addition didn’t go as planned and the Buckeyes have to improve from that.
