Orlando +7.5 at Cavs - Game 5

this quarter has been laughable....such uninspired, assumptive basketball. We just dominated the first quarter, its a close-out game, you've conceded defeat.

Its worked well so far.

Good work by the bigs on wrapping Howard up. They seem to have grasped the concept of wrapping him before he goes into a shot very well. And why is Mike Brown, just now telling these guys how to foul Howard? This stategy never came up in team meetings? Not even before the series?

Embarrassing.

Good stuff.

The problem with the rest of the series, which I believe was brought up by one of the TNT guys (or someone here, perhaps), is that even though Orlando lives and dies by the 3- they will "live" at least once during the next 3 games.

Cavs may be lucky to prolong the inevitable tonight.

GO CAVS!

It doesn't appear that the mojo works for the Cavs from me.

One point game. :shake: Kind of hard to stay optimistic. The way this team has played this series nd how the coaches have stood by and watched makes me want to put my mother[censored]ing fist through the wall.

Like Mike Brown's "in-game" explanation of how to foul Dwight Howard. A moment of sheer brilliance. Honestly, why is he not just wrapped up within 5 feet of the basket? Just shove him as the ball is being thrown to him. It's a helluva lot better than the catch and ensuing and 1.

Send Darnell Jackson out there, and just waste fouls. This isn't a hard concept. Jesus Christ.

So at the end of the first I thought to myself "Is a 17 point lead enough for the Cavs over the next 3 quarters?"

Well, it was barely good enough for 1 quarter. Wow.

Also Mike, thanks for trying. There's no helping Cleveland teams.

They're toast.

Cavs win by 10.

Nobody else is upset about the Cavs losing the 3-point shot that should have moved their score from 42 to 45, when the basket went through two seconds before the whistle blew for Van Gundy's technical?

How do the announcers and everybody at TNT miss shit like that?

Orlando hits a 3 with .7 seconds left to close the half. A 22 point lead pissed away in one quarter. Lebron has looked like trash tonight. I don't know if I want to watch the rest of this game or not. The Cavs just cannot hit their shots.

Personally, I thought I heard a whistle pretty early on and everyone else just kept playing.

Still, it's bad judgment on the part of the referee to stop play at that time.

Yeah, I kinda just assumed that Mo threw that shot up after the whistle.

Either way though, the Cavs defense is what is killing them right now. They just gave up 37 points in the 2nd quarter. Inexcusable.

I am. But most people don't catch things like that BB73. Just like the point differential in the Boston-Chicago series. Thats why great announcers like Todd Blackledge are underappreciated....the fact that certain announcers would have mentioned or caught that detail goes unnoticed b/c people just take/listen to what is fed them. Since Reggie and Crossdresser didn't comment on it, nobody even noticed...
