First half of football went pretty much like we expected. Dominant defensive line and a questionable back 7 that gets out of position and gives up big plays. Very good offense. The one thing that has gone better than expected is the play of the offensive line. They have looked very solid even though you obviously can't read too much into playing this Beavers football team

Flip side of the rapid pace on offense, Oregon State had the ball 18:01 in the first half. That is not good. Buckeyes also need to think a bit harder about the over-pursuit. Oh, and there is not yet world peace.

Have we made some mistakes? Fuck yeah. But, at least we chose to schedule a team that's halfway decent. Unlike patting yourself on the back for blowing the doors of Furman or Southern. How much are you going to learn from that film?

Looks like the players who faced some of the biggest distractions in the last month (by no fault of their own) scheduled semi-respectable teams. Whether MD wins or loses, they (and the B1G) will be better off for it.
