QB Vernon Adams' Oregon status hinges on EWU exam Thursday
Vernon Adams' arrival at Oregon has been delayed by the completion of a class at Eastern Washington; passing it is necessary for the quarterback's addition to the Ducks' 2015 roster as a graduate transfer.
According to Sports Illustrated's Lindsey Schnell, who wrote a profile on the Ducks this week, he takes his final exam for the class on Thursday. If he passes, the productive FCS star might be able to participate in Friday's practice. Adams told SI.com he's "studying like crazy" for what he described as his "last shot" at making this move from EWU to Oregon that he announced back in February.
Oregon starts classes in September, so he'll be able to enroll then. The unknowns are what happens if Adams does not pass his final class, or whether he will be a factor in the quarterback competition given the steep learning curve that comes with his late arrival.

Inside College Football: Police called to Oregon practice due to TV crew
We now know the depths of Oregon football's paranoia.
The program has long been known for hiding its “secrets” even to those supposedly friendly to the cause.
Local police were called last week when a Pac-12 Network crew was able to glimpse portions of practice, two sources told CBS Sports. A conflict developed when a security guard approached analyst Curtis Conway about moving away from angle that allowed him to see the practice field.
According to the sources, Conway and other Pac-12 on-air talent were merely ascending a stairway to a production truck. What was described as “a standoff” with Conway escalated until someone called the police. Multiple cars with multiple officers showed up minutes later, one source said.
The conflict was quickly diffused, however.
Conway later declined to comment, through a Pac-12 spokesman. What boggles the mind is Pac-12 Network is assumed to be promotional arm of the Pac-12. It is owned by the conference.
Unlike many programs, Oregon did not host a single college staff during spring practice, according to Helfrich. (There were individuals, such as between-jobs Brady Hoke, who were able to stop by the program.)
