Game Thread Oregon at tOSU, Sat. Nov. 7th, 3:30 pm ET, CBS

@RB07OSU called it 38-20 Oregon.....
I guess Vegas is calling my name. I made this pick getting to be realistic based on the USC game. What happened today is us this season without Sayin. When I said I saw a 4 loss type of season, everyone acted like someone pissed in my cheerios or I was being a negative Nancy. I was just being real after I knew Sayin was out for the season and saw what we were without him. We were a 2-3 loss team with him due to the defense, throw in 1-2 more losses due to not having Sayin.

Patricia needs to be on the hot seat.

Loklyn hot seat

The following should be considered for realtor recommendations:

1. Art Smith - there is nothing to be hopeful there, to consider one more year. A total offense make over. Knowing how stubborn Day is, Bjork may need to do a intervention with the help of donors for the assist.

2. Bowen- enough is enough

3. Fessler - OSU develops QBs. TSC was not developed. Day can't fire himself.

4. KB - he has been at OSU long enough, and Day doesn't need to be in a echo chamber with him. Just a yes man with analytics. Plus the TE's are horrible.

Put Larry Johnson on the list. The pass rush has been very underwhelming.

If Smith and Patricia are still employed tomorrow Day needs to be launched into the sun

I’m open to changes, but the longer I watch this team, the more obvious that it’s a whole lot of average outside of JJ and a few others. Once Sayin went out, the elite passing game was lost and suddenly they have few, if any, big plays to help a freshman.

On defense, zero pass rush is not an option for decent QBs and good WRs. I have been surprised at how poorly Patricia has called games. Multiple times the opposing OCs had him badly fooled.

Also a 14-0 start in those stats, too. Not his fault the playcalling turtled again in the middle quarters.

There’s a big difference between turtling and failing to make plays. On the first 2 drives, Fahey threw to a safety valve 3 or 4 yards behind the LOS. Then he got sacked and overthrew a wide open McCuin.

In the third, he once again threw a negative 5 yard pass, and then the senior center snapped it over his head. Next drive he misses a wide open Smith and McCuin on 4th down. 3rd drive they had something going and failed on 4th again.

They can’t generate big plays, and it’s hard to ask Fahey to drive the offense down the field on long drives.

I wonder if something happened in the locker room during the bye week. The team was off last week and now this week half the guys quit. No leadership by senior players, coaching has been atrocious in all phases.

Something ain’t right in the WHAC
10 years

Coaches burn out at about the 10 year mark imo. For whatever reason. Them. The teams. Both. They just lose it.

This was year 8 for Day. Probably time to call it and move on.

I wonder if the fans noticed why Wilder isn't playing much. He was a late sub when the penalty pushed them to 3rd and 15. After they converted, Oregon went hurry up, trapping him on the field.

He did not set the edge at all and Oregon strolled in lazily around the right side for an easy td.

Oh I saw it and pointed it out my brothers. Defense right now is a complete cluster.

The dropped pick McClain was the beginning of the end today

Would anyone trade Day for Freeman?

I need to see how the rest of the season plays out. I don’t know, the car has already swerved off the road and gone into a ditch, but if it goes into a head on collision with a semi or something (losing out) then I don’t see how you can’t explore the conversation as an athletic department.

Seriously, nothing left on the schedule looks like a guarantee. Whatever fucking version we saw out there tonight could lose to any of the remaining scheduled teams. It’s a bitch if a reality but I can’t argue against it.
