Game Thread Oregon at tOSU, Sat. Nov. 7th, 3:30 pm ET, CBS

If we don't whip Duck ass up and down the field, the BMW thread is going to be lit up!
Oregon has lost on the road to Illinois and Okie State but the beat USC in the same stadium where we just got whupped with their back up QB. This game should make you nervous because as bad as they have looked you never know when that preseason number (3?) team may emerge.

Oregon doesn't know if this preseason #1 team may emerge......

Fewer penalties, no drops, actually wrap the fuck up, don't miss your blocking assignment, Timmons back, more #4 than tightends, no fumbles, and run the qb a little. OSU does that I am not sure who can beat them. This is all on OSU. They choose who wins the game, Oregon doesn't get a say.

Yesm basically don't do anything that you did in socal Saturday. I rewatched about 20 minutes of highlights this morning and it was horrifying how many missed tackles, dropped balls, penalties. breakdowns in the o-line.... USC is a bad defensive team and we made them look good.

I dont think you can make a defense look good when they’re giving up 464 yards and 25 first downs. What happened when Ohio State was on offense was just bad football all the way around
Yes, the raw numbers make it look bad for SC, if you saw them and didn't know the final score you'd think we scored 35 points. It was a mix of poor execution, mistakes and just not getting it done when you had to. Have it 1st and goal at the one red cunt hair line and not getting a TD is inexcusable.

That is my favorite typo / auto correct on this site, ever. :slappy:

We had 8 scoring opportunities and came away with 18 points.

Thats almost 100% self inflicted. No defense is that good in the red zone. Especially not USC’s.

Don’t disagree with any of this. My point is that there is no world where USC can claim their defensive problems were even addressed on Saturday, much less solved. It wasn’t just looking at raw numbers (or even numbers with context), that makes USC look bad on defense. Watching the game made USC look bad on defense. Only pointing out that saying “we made a bad D look good” actually softens the point unintentionally. It’s a common trope, not meant to be taken literally… I get it. I’m only pointing out the fact that acknowledging it as not literally true makes the offensive performance worse. USC looked bad on defense. The Buckeyes still shot themselves in the junk and only scored 18. That’s even worse than making them look good (something that even the Buckeyes’ putrid performance could not do)

Guys.....we just got like 3 yards on a QB sneak, giving us a first down. We're now on the pubic hair yard line apparently. Wanna just do it again and get 6 points, or should we dick around with our garbage OL and hand the ball off 5 yards deep? The 5 yards deep one? OK cool.......wanna do that like just once and then get back to the play that got you 3 yards? No? OK then.

Like I said, if I'm just scrolling scores and see SC held Ohio State to 18 points without looking at numbers or highlights I'm thinking "SC's D really stepped up tonight!" and scrolling on

Thanks for doing me the solid of a film review, I deleted it on my DVR because I couldn't bear to watch that again. I vividly recall most of it from one watch though.

A completely different team has to show up Saturday and that's the bottom line I think.
