Oregon 44, Arizona 41 (final, 2 OT)

I have a request for officiating: Be consistent, please
Oregon player gets flagged for lifting his arms and flexing after he stuffs a runner. If that's against the rules, fine, call it--but call it when, say, Tebow runs around yelling about Jesus or whatever, too.

Yeah, that was a weak call.

Anyway, TD Arizona. 10 point ballgame. I didn't give Arizona much of a shot, but their defense really stepped up in the 2nd half.

This game is better than I thought it would be. Arizona forces a 3 and out and now have it first and goal (after a very questionable unsportsmanlike conduct call on Oregon).

Um, flexing your arms like Mr. Universe directly in front of the ref will get you flagged every time. I don't understand how that is "questionable."

If Tebow gave a copy of The Watchtower to the ref after he scored, I would agree with you. He usually waits until he gets to the sideline.

I'm sorry, but I think that is pretty weak. I in no way think it's smart, but it's not like he did it in the other teams face (taunting). Stupid celebration, yes. Yet I have seen worse than that not get flagged.

Despite fumbling at the one earlier AZ has scored 24 unanswered points.

The Ducks look ready to answer now, though.

It has gotten a flag every other time I have seen it this year, I believe it was called in another game that Oregon was in this year, on the other team. Bottom line is, the player knows it is against the NCAA rules.

He did it to call attention to himself. That's how the rule is written and enforced. It was a celebration.

Like it, don't like it. It's a rule and it was stupid for the player to do what he did.
