My tentative feelings as well...provided that Booty and Johnson do not return. Sanchez has the tools to lose a couple more games for SC.

I don't even care if Booty and Johnson are back. I don't think Booty is that good of a QB. Ducks by 14, no matter what.

Booty is the 2007 version of Gino Terreta (without the Heisman).

Not exactly.

Torretta at least won a streak of games over a few seasons and didn't let up against bad teams.

Booty could not win against a team that my high-school team could beat while blindfolded!

USC losing to Stanford would have been like Temple beating Miami at the Orange Bowl back then.

Southern California quarterback Mark Sanchez's day against Arizona on Oct. 13 included getting his helmet pulled back by the Wildcats' Corey Hall. Sanchez, who started the past two games for the injured John David Booty, will start today against Oregon.

There have been times this season when Southern California has been labeled sluggish and unimpressive.
Don't expect that today when the No. 9 Trojans visit No. 5 Oregon for a Pacific 10 game in Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore. Conference standing is not the only issue; there could be national championship implications given the unpredictability of the season.
"This is the kind of stuff that really excites you about conference play. You have a team that's really hot, and you have to beat them if you're going to have a chance to win your league," USC coach Pete Carroll said.
USC was less than dazzling in a 27-24 victory over Washington, was upset 24-23 by Stanford and escaped with a 20-13 victory over an Arizona team that has only two wins.
