It wasn't long ago that I would've been excited for the Bearcats. At this moment, I find myself hoping the Hokies put them back in their place.

But I have a month to think about it, so we'll see how I feel about it then.

Don't let a few immature UC fans change your support for another Ohio team doing well. Anybody with half a brain knows that UC has A LONG way to go before we can even be mentioned in the same breath tOSU. It seems that (and this is not unique to UC fans) the only way for some people to feel good about themselves is to hope that somebody else is not successful. Never made sense to me and as an Ohio boy, I want all positive light on Ohio...

However, with that said, UC is on a positive trajectory with less-than-average MAC talent. Brian Kelly is a great coach who appears to be committed to UC long-term. It will be interesting to see what happens if/when Cincy starts to pull in Top-25 recruiting classes that fit his system. (Notice I didn't say top-5 recruting classes like tOSU, we're just barly sniffing top-50 this year...baby steps!)

I don't think its the yahoos that bother most people on here it was the program website saying Ohio's BCS Team.

That being said I feel the pain, especially that delivered by ORD, as I am a Miami Alum, I know the Fredo (Whatever the Fuck that is supposed to mean) label gets annoying at times, but again, its less the fans and more the actual university athletics site. Me, I'm personally torn, between my loyalty to the state and my loyalty my University, you know that whole rivalry thing (that shane montgomery tried to destroy)

Not trying to be an apologist, but to be fair, it didn't look like tOSU was going to a BCS Bowl. I'm sure the athletic department got caught up in the moment and wish they could take it back now.

With Shane out, hopefully Miami gets back into the MAC mix. Let's keep this a good, relevant rivalry. There's some very good Miami Alumni out there in the assistant coaching ranks, hopefully one will come back. Regardless, good luck.

My friends who are Miami fans have a hard time seeing how Cincy is going to get past or even be able to deal with VT, but they are giving their heartfelt support as they don't want to see a team that they beat during the season end up taking the Orange Bowl title in their own stadium.

Im going to this game, as my wife's family is friends with one of the Bearcats players, and its less than an hour to Dolphins Stadium. I have friends that wanted to go and found:

4 club level tickets
4 tickets to the tailgate
1 parking pass

Virginia Tech needs to put up 50 and not allow any points.

I think you're severely underestimating VT's defense. They have been playing lights out for most of the year, and I honestly don't see Cincy scoring more than 21 points at the most. I see them holding Cincy in the mid-teens.

I think that if Taylor can limit the mistakes and make enough plays to take pressure off of Evans to run the ball effectively, VT will win this game. VT may be young and inexperienced, but their defense and running game are both good enough to win a lot of games.

I think that you missed or ignored the "and not allow any points" portion of the post that you quoted.

Cinci changed hotels tonight after Sean Combs checked in for a New Year's party. Fucking P. Diddy, always partying and shit. :slappy:
