If this was done by one of our D, it's one of the few hits they made tonight.

Another embarrassing defensive display. It is so embarrassing to watch every team we play make their QB look like an All American. We sit back in that soft zone, give 7 yards cushion on the corners, absolutely give them the Hitch, and sit back while they gash us for seven to ten yards a pop. We have the speed to play closer on the edge. It is ridiculous that we are scared to death that we might get beat deep. Our defensive philosophy, blitz packages, coverage deception, and poor technique is a shame. I am tired of watching DB's have no clue where the ball is as they play the man instead of the ball and either get beat with a TD pass or get interference because they don't even know the ball is in the air. I can't believe our DB's do not turn and find the ball, and it is obvious they are being taught not to since so many of them do it so frequently ever the entire season. You are not supposed to play the man, you play the ball. How embarrassing would it be if the ball was under thrown and actually hit them in the freakin ass instead of being right behind their heads as the receiver reaches over them and catches it for a TD while they are throwing one arm up at nothing basically since they have no clue where they are trying to bat the ball. Coombs has got to go. He is a joke. We have too much talent for that crappy technique.

How many guys on the defensive side for OSU tonight will play on Sundays? How many guys for MSU's defense will play on Sundays. Our talent is better, our coaches suck.

We cannot expect to get any more and will never see a National Championship until major changes happen on the defensive coaching staff.

It is so sad to watch teams like ichigan throw for 300+ yards against us and then can't move the ball at all on Kansas St.

If Urban doesn't make changes soon I am going to be one pissed off buckeye fan.

I'd say it's the execution/technique/talent, your points on the scheme contradict a bit..we play that soft zone because when we man up we end up getting beat for the ball on a constant basis and teams figured out they can exploit that (Clemson had a damn month to watch the film)

In terms of talent compared to the Spartans..they are obviously more talented at this point. I don't see a guy in our back 7 who has shown they can play on Sunday's quite frankly..maybe if some of the younger guys get the right coaching. Whereas Darqueze Dennard is an obvious first rounder.

If he leaves now he'll be a wr. If he stays another year he at least has a shot at being a qb in the league

Where the hell is he going? He's a 4th round pick at best and that's as a WR or KR. The kid can't play QB right now. Look at his completions tonight. He hit some tight windows to be sure, but there were also WIDE open receivers that were so wide open they had to come to a stop to catch the ball. He doesn't "throw guys open". He's not a QB yet. I don't know if he'll ever be one but he sure as hell isn't one now.

That wasn't the point, idiot. It wasn't a slam at UM but at the quoted post that called this a satisfying season. And The Game or no game, Cooper was known for [Mark May]ting the bed in the last two games of the season, just like our defense did this year.

Our defense shit the bed the entire season. Frankly, if the competition was at the level that it was in the '90s, they'd have several more losses.

This wasn't a superior team that blew it. It was a decent team with a good offense playing in a bad conference.

Wow this one really hurts, mostly because I feel like it should have been a win for us. So many opportunities.

Great game Clemson. You outplayed us and embarrassed our defense.

Time to reevaluate Luke Fickell's position at DC. For too long our defense has underperformed and looked unprepared. we shouldn't have to score 40 points to win a game.

At this point any assistant coach or player that wants to leave, they can leave. I wish them the best.

What are we losing?

Roby is faster and after they see his physical talent and ability at the combine he will play on Sundays. Shazier will play on Sundays.

Execution and technique is all mostly coaching. What they are we doing not turning to find the ball? What the hell is that? If you can't cover man to man, it isn't necessarily talent. Our O-line appeared to be untalented for years under Bollman too until they reached the NFL and many became ALL Pro. We never seemed to be able to block anyone, yet we had talented linemen. It was all scheme and technique, which is not talent but coaching.
