4 is not bad. And I'm not even saying that just because Michigan's also been to four. Only four teams have been to more. Florida, LSU, and Miami have also been to four. Texas has just 2.

Now, the problem with 4, of course, is that VT has in fact just 3. (Unless you count their Orange Bowl trip from the '96 season when the BCS was still called the Bowl Alliance.) But still.

Ahem, I can think of a coach who went to 4 BCS bowls, won three of them and wasn't mentioned... what's up with that? Not to mention that he's making his fifth appearance next week.

I can think of a team that is going to their 5th BCS bowl here soon that you did not mention.....

BTW you kinda forgot USC...I think they've been to 5 or 6 BCS bowls as well....

I didn't forget them. They're one of the four that has more than four. OSU, USC, OU, FSU. All of the above have 6 including this year.

Ohio State has five, including this year (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007 seasons). Didn't bother to look up the other three teams...

Hate to say it, but he's right.

Ohio State is going to #6 this year, it's only 5 under Tressel, they went to the Sugar Bowl in 1998-99 under Cooper and kicked the crap out of aTm....
