And for whatever it's worth, the person who did leave the comment had almost no impact on your rating whatsoever. They have almost no reputation themselves, don't have a strong posting history or presence, and fall short in all the other areas that determine how much swing their reputation gifts or hits have. So while you got the comment, your rating itself was basically unmoved.
Reputation is a balance, you have to look at it all from the big picture, and not necessarily from individual comments. I think in time it will be useful to those people who don't opt out of it in terms of trends.
And like I said, it's an area that will get more polished in time. Right now I have much bigger fish to fry in terms of getting things online before the season.
