here was my logic on these picks i couldnt have an extended list so i went with basically one per era plus sylvester as a joke basically.

west-the logo, one of the most competitive athletes ever, clutch player.
kareem-automatic for two with the sky hook. scored a ton of run killers and big baskets. he could always get his shot off.
mj-no one has more highlights of big shots, shot 50% from the field for his career, this was my guy for late 80s and 90s
kobe-best big game, clutch player in the league right now and one of the best offensive players in the game over the past 10 years.
sylvester-ill and lsu games. eh it was a joke basically...
chitwood-guy never missed a big shot, granted he never got caught watching the picket fence dry...

Some laugh at the idea of LBJ being on the list...But one shot, does it mean you need 1 point, 2 point, or 3 points...

Obviously if you need a 3 pointer, you don't want a guy like Jordan or LBJ as they are not great 3 point shooters...Yeah they could get a look, but they are not the ones that you want taking that shot...Well the Cavs do because he is the only one that can get that look...Give me a guy like Kobe if we are talking 3 pointer...

But if LBJ is on a different team and all you need a bucket, in a tie game, and other guys are going to draw attention, I am taking LBJ 1 on 1 against anyone...He is stronger, can get to the rack can score it in traffic and has knack for getting fouled...

Jordan if we are talking about a midrange jump shot, fade away type that he hit so many of in his career...

If we are just talking all around clutch player in any situation, you are probably going to go with Jordan as he is the guy that did it the most over his career, but we are just talking one shot, what else are we talking about, team members, game, score, etc..
you love your lebron...

i left him off since hes only a young kid. hes only what 23 years old? not enough data to draw a good conclusion. all those other guys have 10+ years of experience.

Yeah, the fact that no one has even voted for West is kind of bothersome, I didn't only for the reason that I never saw him play live. Magic and Jordan were my Era of getting into basketball. But it's odd, the guy's nicknamed "Mister Clutch" hell, the logo for the NBA is him, so it's weird that he doesn't have a single vote.

Kareem was a beast, I will say that when he was going towards the basket you had confidence, you knew odds were he was going to make that shot, hell, I don't have that type of confidence in Kobe sometimes.

But meh, sometimes I try so hard to not be a "homer" that it blinds my judgment. But I will say, Jordon scared me, we went to the finals, against the Bulls, and I just knew, we weren't going to win.

I was making a point that depending on what type of shot, what type of team around him etc. who I would give the rock to...

If you have a team with LBJ and Kobe...If you need a 3 you give to Kobe...If you just need a two I give the ball to LBJ...Of course there can't be a lot of help as you also have Kobe on the team, and I think that LBJ is the best 1 on 1 player in terms of getting into the lane and making a tough shot...

This is without be ever seeing West, kareem, etc...

In terms of overall clutch player and just hitting the big shot, it is like I said Michael, hands down...

I also wouldn't be too upset if Robert Horry ended up taking it.

Big Shot Rob was my first thought.

Well actually my first thought was, since we get to choose and all, Shaq dunking a lob in his prime for the win. :wink2:
