Ole Miss 31, Florida 30 (Final!)

Florida rushing totals:

Harvin10-82
Tebow15-7-2

I think the secret is out with tebow. You stuff him, it looks like Florida may not react well and loses focus. Granted, Harvin's still grabbing 8.2 a carry, but Harvin doesn't have the impact team wide that Tebow has,I think.

No Jevan, stay committed to Florida, you're our only quarterback recruit. Tebow? All lies. We're recruiting him to play linebacker. (Meyer)

Karma's a real pain, eh Meyer?

Great redemption for the kid who Meyer tried to deceive into playing alongside Tebow, only to commit to Texas and get stuck behind an upstart McCoy. Great day for him (in his first year as a starter, no less).

Congrats Ole Miss. Poor special teams play on the blocked extra point. No excuse for that. The play selection on the 4th on 1 1/2 was poor too. I would have spread them out and rolled Tebow to the left, either a short pass or Tim running. He can break most one on one tackles, but if he hs to run into the line and the line is stuffed, then it is over. Everyone in the stadium knew where he was going.

Five fumbles aside, the conservative play calling all game is going to make for some pissed off fans. But you have to give Ole Miss props. Major Wright totally screwed the coverage on that long TD pass, but when they had to make a play, they did. Their guys threw it and caught it, which you have to do no matter how wide open he was. And they blocked the point. Without our blocked FG we never meet you in 06. We got lucky then versus the Cocks, making a low percentage play to save the season, and the Rebels made the extra point block to win the game - this happens - what? Once every hundred times? Good for them. Now that have our head out of our #4 asses, maybe we can play some inspired ball versus LSU and the Mutts.

Hoddy Toddy!!!

You mean other than the fact that, every time a team that is ranked above us loses and we win, we have a chance to move up?

[SARCASM]Come on, middle of the road SEC team upsets the mighty Gators by one. We get crushed by then number 1 USC. We aren't moving up. Come on. Number 10 in the SEC oughta be number 10 in the country.[/SARCASM]

Of course, you are simply telling lies that have as much factual basis as any of the stuff said about your program by jealous haters during Clarretgate.

If it gives you a measure of solice for your loss that Ole Miss beat us, then goody for you.

If I'm wrong, then explain it to me. I'm listening, even if I'm a little biased towards the kid in this case.

Was he told he was the only QB recruit?

Tebow was a pretty enormous elephant in the room. How was that attempted to be smoothed over by Meyer?

This isn't exactly a denial, whether it came from Meyer, or one of his assistants who acts and speaks on Meyer's behalf (regarding who they're recruiting & cooling on)

Meyer denied the book's version, saying he never told anyone he was recruiting last year's Heisman Trophy winner to play defense or any other position.
"That came out in a book?" Meyer said. "If that came out, that's not true. Did he say me or did he say 'some coach?' No. Of course that's not true."
If it gives you a measure of solice for your loss that Ole Miss beat us, then goody for you.
:roll2: I know you love this go-to move during SEC threads, but I'd post the exact same thing if Fulmer was the culprit & victim. Or Weis. Or Pitino.
