Pat is not doing a terrible job, at least he's keeping up with the game. He just doesn't have alot of inflection in his voice...but that's better than faked inflection (Pam Ward).

Unfortunately, the bottle did not help Pat years ago and he has never truly come back from that. He was a legendary announcer in his time with Brookshire but the networks really need to let him go. Maybe gave him a paycheck but don't let them announce the game. They should have let him fade into the sunset with the glory that he once said.Merih;1633307; said:Pat is not doing a terrible job, at least he's keeping up with the game. Look, I'm not hating on them because they're old, and I understand and respect their recent health issues, but a big part of announcing and speaking publicly is the ability to ... uh ... speak. These guys have jobs solely because of their legacy. They are no longer qualified to do what they do, so should not be doing it.
Keith Jackson's final few years were an embarassment. Pat needs to let go too.
