Absolutely, not to mention our safety/star depth just got much better with 2 early enrollees.Hodgepodge;1867858; said:That's huge.
Tanner coming in for spring is good too, obviously.

From what I understand Tommy's weight has been a bit of an issue as of late, it will be good to let the coaches monitor the flop.
If number issues become less of a worry(I know it's not likely) could Tommy ever man the nose on the other side of the ball in a pinch and take up space with his floppy?
What has changed are his surroundings and requirements. Tanner and offensive lineman Tommy Brown of Akron Firestone enrolled for spring quarter to join five members of the recruiting class who enrolled in January, including quarterback Braxton Miller.

Brown's value: Firestone's Tommy Brown enrolled at Ohio State early to take part in spring practice, and the freshman has already played a valuable role, since the Buckeyes started the spring with only 10 offensive linemen on the roster.
Brown has been working primarily as the second team right tackle -- he was beaten by Fellows for a sack last Saturday -- but the reps taken by a player who should still be in high school will only help him.
"He has a lot of learning to do and long way to go, but he's out there every day and he's helping us," Shugarts said. "Without him, we wouldn't even have two lines. So coming right out of high school, he's doing a good job."
Brown, an offensive tackle, graduated early and has been attending classes at OSU since January.
"I haven't talked to any of the guys coming in next year but I know I'm staying here," said Brown. "We're all a little disappointed in the way things turned out but we have a good [interim] coach in [Luke] Fickell."
Former Firestone football standout LT Tommy Brown is transferred to UA, will seek hardship waiver to play 2014.
