He is a wrestler...always a plus. He is lean up top with a solid lower body. That is good.
Folks are looking at this as an OL offer but don't commit him there...he reminds me of Bellamy with a touch of Tim Anderson.
"Hell yes. If they have the skills and the offer, we're going to try to get as many players as we can."
hes an interior guy most likely if on offense? id assume at this point (with fickell) well see a similar defense as weve seen in the past? the offense may or may not be changing in the intermediate term, no? further complicate the issue with the unofficially present "interim" tag and a different potential head coach, no?What I've seen and read...I like the combo. Ohio State football: Two local recruits commit to 2012 class
Thursday, July 14, 2011
By Tim May
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Ohio State bounced back from a tough weekend of recruiting news with two local commitments yesterday.
Luke Roberts, a linebacker from Lancaster, and Patrick Elflein, an offensive lineman from Pickerington North, called coach Luke Fickell with the news that they want to be part of the 2012 class.
Elflein, 6 feet 3 and 285 pounds, reacted almost immediately after being offered a scholarship yesterday in the wake of Lakewood St. Edward lineman Kyle Kalis decommitting from OSU and pledging to Michigan last week. That gives Ohio State two offensive linemen in the 2012 class from Pickerington. Elflein, who was also courted by Purdue, Northwestern and Indiana, will be joined by Jacoby Boren of Pickerington Central.
