The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who opened training camp this week with a trio of offensive linemen on the physically unable to perform list, restored some depth tot the unit on Friday by signing sixth-year guard Michael Jordan and first-year tackle Tyler McLellan. Jordan most recently started 11 games for the New England Patriots last season while McLellan spent his 2024 rookie season on the Los Angeles Chargers' injured reserve list.
To open one spot needed for these transactions, the Buccaneers waived tackle Silas Dzansi with a failed-physical designation. The team already had one open spot after placing tackle Garret Greenfield on the reserve/retired list on Wednesday evening.
Jordan (6-6, 312) has 40 career starts and 67 games played for the Bengals, Panthers and patriots. He first entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2019, out of Ohio State, and started 19 games at left guard over his first two seasons. Jordan was waived just before the start of the 2021 season and claimed by Carolina. In two seasons with the Panthers he appeared in 28 games with 10 starts. After spending most of the 2023 season on Green Bay's practice squad, he landed in New England last season and spent the majority of the season starting at left guard.
