• Matthew is a physical and experienced offensive lineman who started 12 of the 13 games at right guard in 2022
• He has played in 41 games and has started 17 times
• Graduated in 2021 with his degree in human development and family sciences and is in his sixth year with the program
• Helped lead Ohio State to a No. 9 ranking nationally in total offense (490.7 ypg) and No. 2 in scoring (44.2 ppg) in 2022
• Ohio State’s 2022 offensive line allowed the sixth-fewest TFLS in the country (50.0) and the seventh-fewest quarterback sacks (12.0)
• Played 758 snaps from scrimmage last season
• Earned second-team all-Big Ten Conference honors by both the coaches and the voting media in 2022
• Played 427 snaps from scrimmage in 2021 and was named honorable mention all-Big Ten Conference
• Started in the wins over Akron and Nebraska
• Helped Ohio State’s offense rank No. 1 in the nation in total offense (561.5) and scoring offense (45.7)
• Ohio State’s offense also ranked in the Top 5 nationally in 2021 in passing (3rd; 380.9), passing efficiency (2nd; 182.3) and third down conversions (2nd; 52 pct.)
• Played in all eight games of the Covid-shortened 2020 season and started three times: vs. Michigan State, vs. Clemson in the CFP semifinals and vs. Alabama in the CFP championship game
