Kyle Dodson, University Heights, Ohio, 6-6, 310, four-star, No. 24 offensive tackle - Michigan State target
Trieu: "Dodson is a soft commit to Wisconsin right now. He took officials to Ohio State and Auburn and he is supposed to take an official visit to Michigan State this weekend, but I'm hearing that he may just go ahead and announce on Saturday. I know Pitt is also a little bit in the picture because his primary recruiter and his offensive line coach to be at Wisconsin all went over to Pitt, so they're in the picture, as well. He really likes the Michigan State staff and has a strong rapport with them going all the way back to last winter when they were the first school to offer him, but I think he is going to end up as a Buckeye."
Expert pick: Ohio State

Thankfully Decker helps change the definition of that 'need'.OH10;2097529; said:Dodson is obviously a very important recruit, but think about how we got to this point. Ohio State should never NEED an offensive linemen this much.

(obviously any recruit may not work out, but we've come a long way from november's situation)
Q: Hey, Tim: What's up with the Heights linemen -- Kyle Dodson and Donovan Munger? Can Ohio State land both?
-- Tim Cook, Ashley
A: Hey, Tim: Those are two different Heights and players in different classes.
Kyle Dodson (6-6, 308) is the Cleveland Heights senior tackle who earlier committed to Wisconsin, but backed off when its offensive assistants left for Pitt. He's taking home visits this week from his final four: Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin and USC. Dodson is to announce his pick on National Signing Day on Wednesday, Cleveland Heights coach Jeff Rotsky said. Dodson was viewed as a raw talent with a high ceiling and recently had shoulder surgery, so is sure to redshirt this fall.
My guess is Ohio State has an excellent chance of signing Dodson, who is the 16th-ranked tackle and No. 178 overall by Rivals.com.
Munger (6-4, 285) is a junior two-way tackle at Shaker Heights who has offers from Auburn and West Virginia, among others. He's being recruited on both sides of the ball. Ohio State is interested, but has not pulled the trigger on an offer. I expect that to change soon.
Wisconsin will have an in-home visit with Kyle Dodson tonight for one last attempt to keep him a Badger.
