OL Kyle Dodson (Official Thread)

He had surgery. He seems likely to redshirt wherever he goes.

Same injury Brewster had that kept him out of the Army Bowl back in 2008.

Mike had surgery before coming down to Texas, however. And I don't think the labrum would affect a center as much as a tackle who needs to get their arms extended.

So yes, I think a redshirt is in order.

Anyone care to elaborate? Couldn't watch. Hope it makes it to Youtube later

Called all his teammates up to the front of the gym and led them in a long, loud chant ending in "I got that feeling. I got that feeling. I'm feeling OHIO STATE!" and slammed the cap on his head.

Dodson called the entire team to the front of the auditorium. He led them in a pregame-style chant, then shouted OHIO STATE at the end and put on the hat. The crowd of course went nuts. Pretty cool - definitely underscores his coach's description of him as a "team guy".

As I'm reading of Kyle's commitment to OSU I am watching ESPNU's coverage of signing day and see that they have him as the #81 rated recruit and committed to . . . . Wisconsin? Great job ESPN.
