OL J.B. Shugarts (official thread)

I am surprised as well because I had been hearing Oklahoma had the slight edge but that was before his visit to LSU and that went really well. Either way, I expect OSU to come out as the leader after the spring game and it is a very big visit.

Couldn't agree more...I am much more optimistic about Shugarts now than I have been at any other time...

I had a really random dream where I found out Shugarts committed to UNC. I don't know why I dreamt that. It's not like I've been thinking of UNC or J.B. Just thought I'd share.

We need an admin to please turn oregonbuckeye's post filter back on! Thank you.

From the Oklahoma site...talks about visiting Norman for the Sooners' spring game. Rnady Bullock and Justin Johnson were with him. He and Brewster are visiting LSU the same weekend.

So what's the deal 45?? Does he go on these trips and just recruit Shugarts to OSU, by telling him how OSU is nicer, better, etc... That would seem kinda lame, and I would J.B. would be annoyed if Brewster was bagging on LSU while he was tryin to enjoy the trip...

Or does Brewster just go down, enjoy the trip and get to become better friends with J.B. so that J.B. will want to come play at OSU with him??

Anyway, I'm not counting either guy in... Trips mean a lot.. They are goin to a great game down in LSU and will certainly be shown an awesome time... Both may be leaning OSU right now, but I think we've all seen how much an amazing trip could turn the tide

Don't really know the answer seeing as though neither of them have ever been on an official visit in their life. I can't really speculate about how Brewster will handle himself or what he will talk about or whatever.

As for your pessimism regarding Michael and J.B. you are certainly entitle to that opinion. I don't think there is any question Brewster ends up at OSU. His visit to LSU is a token gesture and a free trip, IMO.

Not really. Kids who have "amazing trips" usually end up committing to every school that they visit. Everyone else pretty much puts the visit into perspective - a great weekend that will have little or no relationship to the actual college experience. Brewster and Shugarts seem to be rational kids - I don't think that they will commit someplace simply because a visit "blew them away".

I agree with what you said completely.
