Lions sign former Ohio State offensive tackle J.B. Shugarts

Allen Park -- One day after offensive tackle Jason Fox signed with Miami, the Lions signed former Ohio State tackle J.B. Shugarts.

Shugarts, 24, was undrafted in 2012. He has spent time with the Browns, Cowboys and most recently the Jets.

The 6-6, 299-pound Shugarts has not played a game in the NFL. He has a chance to be the Lions’ fourth tackle behind starters Riley Reiff and LaAdrian Waddle and veteran Corey Hilliard.
