Few of us today can begin to understand the challenges that Bill Willis faced and overcame in his career.

In Africa, there is celebration when someone who has lived an exemplary life dies. Bill Willis was a warrior. He spent his life trying to help other youth achieve the success that he had achieved himself. He is an example to us all.

Well done, Bill, and God bless. You will not be forgotten.:io:

Sad to hear the news. The game where he was honored at the shoe was a special treat. I saw a man who appreciated his time at OSU. I think he hung on a few extra weeks just to have one last experience in the shoe. I'm glad he had his moment before he passed. He was a true Buckeye. Bill, you'll always be remembered.

That seriously choked me up a little bit hearing of his passing just now. We'll miss ya Bill.

The man was the embodiment of OSU football. His name will always be up there with the greats. And he may have the single most memorable solo picture in OSU football history.
