COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus Bishop Ready offensive tackle Brady Taylor just completed the first part of his official visit to Ohio State, and the three-star prospect remains committed to Virginia Tech.
But that could still change – Urban Meyer is meeting with Taylor and his family Monday morning.
“It was a good visit, but I have a lot on my mind right now,” Taylor told Cleveland.com in a phone interview Sunday night. “But the visit was great because I was able to see a lot more of Ohio State’s campus than I have before. I got to see it more of a college than just like a football program, like the dorms and all of that.”
Meyer told Taylor that he could have a chance at early playing time, especially because the Buckeyes are saying goodbye to four senior starters from last year’s offensive line.
But Taylor, who was without his mother for a portion of the trip, will hear Meyer’s final sales pitch Monday with his entire family.
Though Taylor is still committed to Virginia Tech, he said he’s unsure if he’ll take his final official visit next week to Blacksburg. That could be because former Virginia Tech offensive line coach Jeff Grimes, the Hokies' primary recruiter for Taylor, recently took the same job at LSU.
