A.J. Ferrari accident: Oklahoma State football OC Kasey Dunn reportedly saved wrestler from burning car

Oklahoma State wrestling national champion A.J. Ferrari was involved in a car crash Monday night. During the incident, in which Ferrari reportedly was with fellow Cowboys athlete and cross country All-American Isai Rodriguez, Ferrari attempted to pass three vehicles but collided head on with another driver. Assisting in the rescue was Oklahoma State football offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn, who was coincidentally in a passing car, according to a report by ESPN.

Due to Dunn’s assistance, Ferrari was pulled to safety. Ferrari’s car, a 2019 Dodge Durango, caught fire and Dunn was able to pull the wrestler to safety. Ferrari and Rodriguez were transported to the hospital to treat non-life threatening injuries.

“The source said Dunn was unable to open the driver's door to get Ferrari out, but he was able to pull Ferrari out of a window after the glass had shattered in the crash,” ESPN reported.

Ferrari’s father, A.J. Ferrari Sr., also wrote in a Facebook post updating his son’s condition. He said that the national champion wrestler had no broken bones.

"He has fluid in his lungs that is affecting his oxygen levels and some bad bruising with some internal bleeding, so they are keeping him here," the elder Ferrari wrote. "If you saw the car and AJ, you would know this was a miracle."

Oklahoma State football hires Bryan Nardo as DC, Cowboys announce changes to Mike Gundy's coaching staff

"I'm excited about the addition of Bryan Nardo as our defensive coordinator," Gundy said. "He's a young energetic, bright football coach who brings 10 years of coordinating experience with him. He's been successful and his innovative system has helped win games everywhere he's been.

Our new CFO is a Poke. Our COO is a Sooner.
When our CFO brought up Bedlam in our Town Hall last week, it was met with mixed emotions and I would say that my facility is close to 50/50 on those born in Oklahoma.
The funny part was when COO said, "Yeah, it's gonna be a while till we play again, but Oklahoma State isn't our rival anyway."
Definitely a case of the game meaning more for the lesser of the two teams. It's not the greatest rivalry. I would put it on par with Washington - Wazzu.
