These Venables rumors are the greatest. Yall(not yall but OU fans and cfb media) really believe Bob Stoops who did him dirty replacing him with his incompetant brother could come groveling back and take him from Dabo?

Also SEC culture is completely antithetical to the way Brent operates

Never mind the fact that his sons are here and love Clemson

I think Dan Snyder at K State will always be the best retread. 2 time hire, 7 time coach of the year in the conference. And the biggest flex of them all, he coached in the stadium named after him:lol:

Dan Snyder is a fucking miracle. And it was sure enjoyable to watch for those of us who were around for the “Interstate 81, Kansas State 0” days

He was something else and it cannot be understated the fucking miracle he pulled off there. KSU was THE WORST program in Division One for decades and he turned them into not just a perennial bowl team, but a pretty regular 10 win, top-10 team to boot. I’ve been to Manhattan, KS…that place makes Bloomington look like fucking Miami and he built a winner there.

OK....you've said this twice now as if it means something. A few years ago when transferring freely wasn't as big of a thing as it was now.....coaches sons were definitely allowed to transfer and follow their coaching father. Today, you can transfer if you don't like the weather. This isn't the thing you think it is anymore.

Yeah they weren’t just bad…in 1934 Pappy Waldorf won 7 games in his only season as coach. So, you ask? They only managed to win 7 games ONE more time until Bill Snyder’s third year (1991).
