Texas is the 'home' team, but the ticket sales are 50-50 for this game at the Cotton Bowl during the Texas State Fair.

As the 'home' team, Texas gets to provide tickets for recruits to get into the game, but since it's off campus, the coaches are not allowed to spend any time with the players or their families.

And dammit, it's the Red River Shootout!!

Just heard Mack Brown say that the Red River Shootout is special because it is in the middle of the year and most other big rivalries are played at the end of the year. Other than Ohio State vs. Michigan are there any other rivalry games always played at the end of the year? I don't think there are.

I checked, Auburn Alabama is the last regular season game usually.

I guess I will make this an open question... which rivalry games are played at the end of the year?

Bradford injures his shoulder, again. At this rate, he's going to turn into Chad Pennington before he even reaches the NFL.

I wonder if he's having second thoughts about passing on the NFL after winning the Heisman?

the injuries aren't promising, but they are dominating Texas everywhere but the 6-0 scoreboard.

fify :wink2:

OU has wasted several opportunities to open a real lead, though.
