Damn, I know this is pretty insensative, but you know how women drivers are

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (AP) -- -- A 15-year-old girl accidentally struck and killed her mother while being taught how to parallel park, police said.

Tina Rowe, 39, died Saturday after being pinned under a 1997 Chevy Cavalier driven by her daughter.

Police believed the girl may have hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

Police said the teen won't face criminal charges.

I heard this on Bob Conners yesterday morning. I told my wife she's teaching Alicya and Emily to drive.

Wow, thats terrible.

But really, what kind of idiot do you have to be to run over someone while parking, especially when you know they're there and they are the one that is talking to you. And on the other hand, how does the mom get that close to the car, and let herself be hit like that? Wouldn't she know her daughter well enough to not put herself in that big of a risk? Why didn't she have someone in the car with her, or stay in the car herself?

But still, that is really horrible and I can't imagine how the girl feels.

This story definitley reminds me of the one a couple of months ago, where the mom was driving home and pulling into the driveway and her 7 year old son (I think somewhere from 6-8, I'll just call it 7, though), jumped out of the car without her knowing and she ran him over and killed him.

Maybe someone with a better memory could help fill in the gaps for me on this one.
