Has hell frozen over or is espn just spouting more rubbish? They just showed a "mock bcs poll", where they have tOSU at 5?!?!?1?1! Is this a joke? Did Mark May edit their TelePrompTer? What is going on??!! They have BOISE at 1!...

1.) Boise
2.) Oregon
3.) TCU
4.) Oklahoma (I think)
5.) Ohio State

I cannot even begin to fathom this projection. All I can think is that the strength of schedule factor in their computer formulas has been reversed so that playing bad teams makes you better, because Boise was ahead by ALOT in this. Hmmf

There is a discussion on another thread about this. You have to keep in mind that the SOS only takes into account games already played. It's not surprising that Boise would be rated very highly given that the meat of their schedule has happened already, whereas the front end of the schedule wasn't as strong as far as a computer would see it.

yeah.....that is why they don't release BCS poll until later in the year. The computer polls aren't very accurate until the second half of the season. ESPN knows the rankings are skewed, but did their little mock poll anyway to get "shock value".

Hell i saw a computer hoops poll that had Ohio University #1 awhile back after 4 games.

No way. Even if Boise and TCU are really #1 and 2 their SOS will drop them by november.
