The signature win will have to happen saturday

If and when we win, i dont see that as a "signature" win. they might lose 1-2 more games, Whisky that is....I dont think they are ranked at the end of the year. If anything our "sig" win will be in Iowa.

I agree. Wiscy will likely drop out of the top-25 if and when we beat them. Hopefully Iowa handles scUM and Michigan State (who we should in turn root for against Illinois this week). If that happens, they'll easily be in the top-10 when they come to CBus. I actually think the Big Ten is better as a whole right now than it has been in a while, but there may not be a second "elite" team in the conference this year with scUM and PSU really struggling. It also doesn't help that we're not playing Michigan State. If Sparty beats Iowa, that will really be bad news for us.

They COULD, but after us they play Iowa, then the Big Ten bottom feeders (Purdue, Indiana, Michigan) before playing Northwestern, who has been shaky at best lately. Aside from the Iowa game all of those should be wins. 9-3 should keep them in the rankings at the end of the year (they should be able to get back in if they fall out at least). Regardless if we can get a big road win in prime time it buffers our position at the top imo.

I would think we would be better off rooting for Illinois, since we played them. If Illinois could find a way to beat MSU, they could actually run the table the rest of the way out (no Iowa or Wiscy on the schedule)

Has hell frozen over or is espn just spouting more rubbish? They just showed a "mock bcs poll", where they have tOSU at 5?!?!?1?1! Is this a joke? Did Mark May edit their TelePrompTer? What is going on??!! They have BOISE at 1!...

1.) Boise
2.) Oregon
3.) TCU
4.) Oklahoma (I think)
5.) Ohio State

I cannot even begin to fathom this projection. All I can think is that the strength of schedule factor in their computer formulas has been reversed so that playing bad teams makes you better, because Boise was ahead by ALOT in this. Hmmf
