Fair point. But what other explanation seems more likely?
Right on. Their anger will be good for 7 points max. Then........Being pissed off anyways will only help them in the 1st Quarter. Then the 2nd quarter will start and we know what happens then.
And the horse Bucky rode in on..............They do ride horses, right?
I hope the team isn't as overconfident as BP. So Wiscy went on the road and shit the bed to a clearly inferior team. We wouldn't know anything about that. Chryst is a good coach, and he'll have them ready to play. We need to come out pipe hitting hard and not sleep walk through the first quarter as we've been prone to do.
Although the transitive property isn't always a good way to compare teams, it still give you some idea how two teams should stack up against each other. Both Ohio State and Wisconsin have played Northwestern and Michigan State, which each winning both games.
Michigan State: Ohio State beat them 34-10 at The Shoe two weeks ago and Wisconsin beat them 38-0 at Madison the following week. Although the games were relatively similar in final score (the Ohio State score should've been 41-10 as a pick six was negated by a very tick-tack "blind-side block" call), Ohio State had the game pretty much in hand by halftime being up 27-10 and essentially coasting the rest of the game, whereas Wisconsin led 17-0 going into the fourth quarter, and it could be argued that Michigan State was still feeling the effects of the Ohio State game--both physically and mentally--going in to Madison. You could call it a wash between the two games.
Northwestern: Wisconsin won 24-15 three weeks ago at Evanston, whereas Ohio State won 52-3 yesterday. Not only were the margins of victory obviously significantly different (49 vs 9), but the halftime leads were different as well (28 vs 11). Northwestern wasn't really out of the Wisconsin game until they gave up a pick six to go down 21 point early in the fourth quarter, whereas the Ohio State game was essentially decided by midway through the second quarter. The Ohio State game was also marked by some as a potential "trap" game for Ohio State, with it being the week before the game with Wisconsin...the Buckeyes showed no distractions whatsoever.
Ohio State dominated both Michigan State and Northwestern, while Wisconsin pulled away late against both. Wisconsin has also won a game by only single digits (Northwestern) and now has a loss to a team that was 2-4 at kickoff, whereas Ohio State has had all seven of its games essentially decided by halftime, has the highest point differential in the country (just under 42 ppg), and has won every game by at least 24 points.
If the Bucks come out as focused as they have been all season and execute for four quarters, I don't give a fuck how pissed Bucky might be...they won't stand a chance.
Bucks 14. 5 point favorites
Not sure where anyone is comparing Wiscy with Fredo. I think that some of us here just aren't as impressed with their defense as is most of the country. If fucking Illinois could put up 31 on them (yeah, it was actually 24, but they had a TD called back on a nit-noy penalty), there's no doubt that we can't do a TD or two better. Not to mention their offense has yet to face defense like ours. To more I look at it, the less concerned I become...The only thing Wiscy and Fredo have in common is that a lot of Fredo students wanted to go to Wiscy but didn't get in. We can't count on giving up a score or two to Wiscy and then suddenly decide to step on the gas in the second quarter like we could with a talentless bottom feeder like Fredo.
Even though we haven't started quick in a few games we aren't allowing fast starts either. The only thing Wiscy and Fredo have in common is that a lot of Fredo students wanted to go to Wiscy but didn't get in. We can't count on giving up a score or two to Wiscy and then suddenly decide to step on the gas in the second quarter like we could with a talentless bottom feeder like Fredo.
