Game Thread Ohio State vs TCU (Arlington, TX) - 09/15/18, 8:00PM (ABC)

Best play for this game might very well be the over (which is down to 58 from a high of 60 iirc)

I am of the opinion that the TCU offense can hurt the OSU defense because of mistakes in the back 7.

Also of the opinion that Haskins will be up for the challenge and will do damage of his own.

Oregon State and Rutgers.

Even OU didn't do teams like that... its simple to see what we have. Extremely talented QB, 6 legit WRs, 2-3 TEs, 2 1k backs, and an oline that averages 6'6 310 pounds.

We did what we should've done to those two teams and thats execute very highly.

Haskins may not be Baker but he doesnt have to be because I like our skill more.

This team is every bit if not more dangerous than OU 17'.

I hope that you two are right. 2017 OU offense was better than 2017 OSU statistically, but not by a wide margin. But in reality they were far more dangerous when facing elite defenses. I see the same potential as you do in this offense, but am going to hold the comparisons until I see them perform against a high level defense.

Here's an O-H to the team putting up 40+ tonight and this post being a waste of the effort I took to post it.

I'm generally cautious as well but I keep seeing allusions to this being the first time Haskins has seen a real defense or will feel a real pass rush.

He played the second half of The Game and went 8/9 iirc. Granted, this will be the first time a competent coaching staff has had a chance to watch some film and gameplan for him but it isn't like the guy has never see a first rate pass rush.

I think he will be absolutely fine and once he makes them pay for cheating to stop the run, and TCU has to play it somewhat honest on D, the overwhelming talent advantage kicks in and it gets ugly for TCU's defense.

I-O!!

Just confident in this teams ability. As long as we dont give them short fields (turnovers or special team fails) I like us big tonight.

Definitely the play where I see value. Again, I've got this game at 65-70 points (42-24ish) so if they want to spot me a TD, I almost have to take it.

Then again, nerves/buttoned-up playcalling/defenses could surprise me. Sitting on the sideline for now- just ready for the damn game.

This little bird doesn't:

:slappy:

That's a shrike. Not only will a shrike catch and kill the frog (or other small vertebrates), they will also impale it on a large thorn or barbed wire before eating it. One badass bird.
