I’m sure the crowd is a bit louder when games are later. But yeah, it does get cold in the evening.
If this team plays better at noon, I suppose that’s all that matters to me.

Yeah, the liquid loudmouth brigade can be a bit much to handle at a 7PM kickoff, but 12 is just too early. It means departing from home NLT 8 to get a decent parking space and then only a short window of opportunity at Hineygate.
My real concern is recruiting. As I recall, Urban loved night games because he wanted the exposure to perspective recruits. Fox argues that the ratings are better at noon, but i wonder, for whom? I think the answer lies in your statement about creature comfort - it's easier on you to get to the game or in front of a TV, but what about the younger market?

i frigging love the noon starts living on the left coast. Get up, grab coffee and breakfast, and start the day off right! Plus I have the whole afternoon and evening to get other things accomplished.

Ohio State's Eddie George recalls Penn State recruiting story
Ahead of Saturday's noon ET game against Penn State, former Ohio State running back Eddie George (1992-95) reflected on his recruitment to the Buckeyes — a decision that nearly tilted in favor of the Nittany Lions.
George went with Ohio State out of Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy in the Buckeyes' 1992 recruiting class, but he admittedly wanted to play for Penn State as a Philadelphia native.
The Lions' former staff then, from head coach Joe Paterno (1966-2011) to longtime assistant Tom Bradley (1979-2011), had other ideas.
"Growing up in the Philadelphia area, you want to play for Big Blue — you want to play for Penn State," George told ESPN. "I was a big Penn State fan. I was getting recruited and I went to a game. They played Notre Dame, beat Notre Dame and after the game, I go into the locker room and Joe Paterno comes in the room and he kind of looks at me. I look at him and I'm like, 'Oh, God. There's Joe Paterno.' Walks to the side, pulls his assistants aside and he whispers something in his ear.
"Tom Bradley comes back over and says, 'Hey, you know, we want to talk to you next week about coming up for a visit and so forth.' And I was like, 'Oh, my God. The moment has come. I want to be a Penn State Nittany Lion.' And he says to me, 'Yeah, we're going to bring you in for a visit and we want you to get with the linebacker coach.'
"'Wait, wait. No, no. I play running back. I'm a running back.' And my heart's just sinking and dropping. I was like, 'Oh, God. I'm not going to play for Penn State. I know I can't. I have to play running back.'"
The deal-breaker ultimately led George out of Pennsylvania and into Ohio, where he starred for the Buckeyes and former head coach John Cooper (1988-2000).
In addition to the 1995 Heisman Trophy as Ohio State's sixth recipient — George racked up awards throughout his senior year as he won the Doak Walker, Maxwell, Walter Camp Player of the Year honor and Big Ten MVP.

In getting back the noon starts vs 3:30 or later....
As someone who despises PedSU, I love the noon kick. Every other year, when we go play in their shithole, they ALWAYS schedule tOSU game for a night kickoff with a whiteout, etc. They pull all the stops to try to win. It is literally their biggest game of the year; their Super Bowl, if you will.
When they come here - while it is a relatively big game - there's no need to make it a night game or do anything extra to tilt the field in our favor. I wouldn't necessarily call it a lack of respect for them, but it is asserting our position in the B1G pecking order. Kind of like saying: "We know who we are and we know that we're better than you are. We don't need to resort to the same crap that you do to give ourselves a chance to win."
Plus, the earlier that game ends means the sooner Hate Week starts!

Fuck St Penn and their mouth breathing cult. Secondary is jack shit. Receivers will run free opening up big play for RBs and when they stack the box against run eventually, TE late release middle of field. They will not stop the O and our D line will get to their qb. This one won't be close

FOX will start their first hour outside and move to the SW tunnel at 11:00 for the final hour. ESPN will be outside at St John and won't move inside to the N end zone until postgame is what I've gathered.
