Game Thread Ohio State vs Penn State - 11/23/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

Making Ohio State a 19 point favorite just goes to show how good they think the team is. Especially with all the tight games the last three years. Really hoping it is a beat down of epic proportions. The only one who scares me on PSU is #1 and he may not even play.

Hamler is fast but he's not an elite WR or anything that can be the difference in the game. I hope he doesn't play bc I want to beat them by a billion....but he's not Rondale Moore, and we'd shut Moore's ass down this year too.

I hope he does play and no penalties are called on Penn State and we still beat them by a billion.

Clifford is a slippery shit. he will make some plays with his legs.

As do most offensive opponents against his team's defense.

He's talented but inconsistent, and they haven't shown consistency to be able to keep up in a high scoring affair.

Indiana had a piss poor pass rush which gave Clifford the time and space to scramble/run up field. You collapse the pocket on him and not give him a chance to take off.

I seriously wonder if we see Zach Harrison stand or drop back a bit just to prevent Clifford from committing fuckery off broken plays or designed QB draws. Guy is a stupid good athlete; if you stand him up you always send him on a delayed blitz too.

I feel like there’s a lot of stuff we can throw at them while keeping a lot of speed on the field.
Can’t stand these diddlers but I respect the talent.

Agreed

PSU's offense most resembles Nebraska imo. You let the DL do it's thing then have multiple athletes you can use to disguise the spy in the back 7 while blanketing his receivers.

This is not a good matchup, style wise, for Penn State.

PSU's offense is big play or bust. Keep everything in front of you. Force them to drive the field.

Ironically enough, they have a lower point per play output (measuring explosiveness) than Wisconsin.

They average .467 ppp, good for 28th in the country.

As a point of reference, OSU is #2 in ppp with a .672 output.

When you start digging into their stats, they are not an over powering team. Watch the games and you see it all pretty clearly. They are especially weak defending the pass.
