Hamler doesn't play on either line.
That is where PSU is in the most trouble imo
This is a good a thread as any: the first team's failure to score on consecutive downs from close in against Rutgers concerns me.
Hamler is fast but he's not an elite WR or anything that can be the difference in the game. I hope he doesn't play bc I want to beat them by a billion....but he's not Rondale Moore, and we'd shut Moore's ass down this year too.
Clifford is a slippery shit. he will make some plays with his legs.
As do most offensive opponents against his team's defense.
He's talented but inconsistent, and they haven't shown consistency to be able to keep up in a high scoring affair.
If only we had, say, some sort of Heisman-caliber DE who had missed a few games because of a BS suspension and would be coming into the game frothing at the mouth. That would be cool...Clifford is a slippery shit. he will make some plays with his legs.
I seriously wonder if we see Zach Harrison stand or drop back a bit just to prevent Clifford from committing fuckery off broken plays or designed QB draws. Guy is a stupid good athlete; if you stand him up you always send him on a delayed blitz too.
I feel like there’s a lot of stuff we can throw at them while keeping a lot of speed on the field.
Can’t stand these diddlers but I respect the talent.
Agreed
PSU's offense most resembles Nebraska imo. You let the DL do it's thing then have multiple athletes you can use to disguise the spy in the back 7 while blanketing his receivers.
This is not a good matchup, style wise, for Penn State.
PSU's offense is big play or bust. Keep everything in front of you. Force them to drive the field.
