Game Thread Ohio State vs Maryland - 11/09/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

A few first half thoughts:

1. Day's clearly looking to get Fields lots of throwing reps and show future opponents a bunch of stuff that probably won't be OSU's bread and butter in more competitive games (if we have any).

2. It's tied to point 1, but I'd still like to see better 1st down offensive efficiency. Don't want to rely on the insane rate of 3d down conversions we've been managing thus far against better competition.

3. Fields has gotten away with some questionable throws into coverage today and his mechanics have seemed a little loose. Let's nip those things in the bud.

4. Great to see K.J. playing on point and getting some sugar.

5. Wilson's going to be absolutely ridiculous.

6. Davon Hamilton's going to kill a man before this game is over.

7. OL is beasting, again.

8. Gus either went out late last night or just didn't bother to prepare much for this mismatch. Lots of lazy errors.

Dude

"Cardale Jones... Cardale Jones... The whole state of Ohio is countin' on Cardale Jones"

That was good.

That, preceding THAT performance: fucking legendary.

We can forgive him a mail-in on a lame game when he's been doing big games all year and has some huge games to end the season.

With the crap UNC, Da U, Clemson and others have gotten away with why would we ever cooperate and self report with the NCAA? They get nothing and we get hammered. Point has already been made but if we paying players why did Chase have to take out a loan? Troy Smith took $500 and was not a loan but Chase takes out a loan, pays it back and potentially gets double the suspension? Makes no sense but the NCAA never makes any sense....
Politics. Also, maybe someone doesnt want a defensive player sniffing around the Heisman.
