FOX Sports Rules Analyst Dean Blandino explains why the targeting call against Ohio State was likely incorrect
Uh...because nobody's head or neck was hit on the play? You know....the definition of targeting and all. Didn't think we needed an article to explain that, but I didn't think we'd have refs look at it from all angles and decide it was targeting, either.

Shoot even Damon didn't target... I thought it was helmet on helmet?

Damon should've got a personal foul because the QB gave himself up but He didn't lead with his helmet and didn't come close to making contact with his own helmet.

I'm still dumbfounded how they reviewed it and said it was targeting. It will be interesting to hear what UFM says tomorrow because I'd imagine he will disagree with the call.

Targeting is any hit to the head or neck. Damon’s was.

Observations from way up high in C deck:
  • It was a great day to be at the Shoe with my brothers for our annual pilgrimage from states away.
  • Never have a meeting scheduled anytime near when the Alumni ticket presale starts or you end up with horrible seats.
  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
  • Land Grant Brewery Stiff Arm is a keeper.
  • The games are too long, or the seats are too hard, or I`m too old, or some combination thereof.
  • Victor is the real deal.
  • Mack is the real deal.
  • Targeting is ruining the game.
  • Kicking the ball deep in the endzone and giving it to the other team on the 25 is a good thing.
  • Our Dline is sick.
  • We commit way to many penalties.
  • Urban's pressers are masterfully deceptive.
  • Scoring boatloads of points is fun to watch.
  • The LBs and DBs had their best game yet.
  • It`s great to be a Buckeye.

Loving our Red Zone production now.
JT did much better on anticipating with his throws. Needs to continue on improving.
JT is playing at a high level right now.
Love the wheel route. Big plays from McCall, Dobbins and Webber.
Having Webber back is a big plus.
Rashod Berry is going to be special.
Happy with our receivers right now. Dixon is having a really good year. Victor and Mack are emerging. Campbell is special with the ball in his hands.
If Burrell can perform in place of Bowden our OL has the ability to be special.

Go BUCKS!

I too really like what we are doing in the red zone... I was a little surprised we didn't have Weber in there when we got close a few times. We have the tall WRs to lob it up and we have the power back in Weber to punch it in too. Not to mention JT is a very good short yard runner too.
