This is the first time all year where I'm confident we cover.
They are not the same team they were when they beat Texas, and keep in mind they got curb-stomped at home by UCF. While they did score 31 at Minnesota, I'd like to think we can hold them to 14 points or less, which means we'd have to score 45 points to match the spread...I think it's doable.[...] Maryland does not look like that when you watch them and they have beaten two P5 teams on the road so far if you needed any more validation.

Yeah Booker playing well last game and Borland against Army was about the only notable good performances from the LBsI'm just looking forward to seeing all nine units growing in confidence and chemistry. At this point I am most disappointed in our LB Corp though Booker really shined on Saturday. Looking for more with the long ball that we saw against Rutgers. Things are coming together at just the right time.
I will be very pleasantly surprised if OSU plays well enough to cover this one.
I was confident against Rutgers because they are god awful and it doesn't take much to see that. Maryland does not look like that when you watch them and they have beaten two P5 teams on the road so far if you needed any more validation.
Rutgers I was a little hesitant about because it was hard to know how much they improved. Had they not up and lost to Eastern Michigan I would have taken them a little more seriously. Losing to Washington and Nebraska on the road in relatively close games isn't something to be ashamed of.I will be very pleasantly surprised if OSU plays well enough to cover this one.

What would you guys like to see from this game? Here's mine
1. Stop the run cold. Their QB isn't going to beat us and their WR's are very small (all under 6 foot) and I feel good where our secondary is at considering where we started. This is one of those games when we know what they do best, there's no hiding it, and their best player is their running back. I'd be disappointed if we allowed them to go for something like 140+ when we know what's coming. What has been odd is even after Army the other two teams have been running for more yards then they're passing for which is a little surprising.
2. Hit 1 more shot over top. I'd love to see us put 1 more score on the board from 40+ yards out on a true deep throw. Now that we've hit a few and if we can hit another one then damn will teams have a dilemma on if they should load the box or protect over top.
3. No big penalties. We've had too many penalties that call back big gains and too many that give the other team sustained drives. We can't do this against PSU/Iowa/MSU, but particularly against THEM.
