This is the correct reaction to that call. Everyone saying "Targeting is a B.S. penalty" "That penalty is ruining football" I can't disagree more. I like these guys, I dont want them blowing their brains out in a parking lot at 50. A bad call, but not a bad rule
agreed. the rule is not the problem. it's the application. as i've said, if we want the game not to be flag football in 10 or 20 years, the rule must exist. otherwise, it will be bankrupted out of existence due to lawsuits that are likely coming anyway.

How it is enforced is very much a bad rule. It is one thing to purposely launch at the head, it’s a whole different to accidentally glance it when going for a hit. If reviewed and appears they were headhunting, then eject. If it was accidental where the player fell or ducked down into it, no way.
